General conditions
Enrolment / Registration
To enrol you must be 18 years old. Younger students need to include a parent’s authorisation, details of persons to contact in case of
emergency, authorised time for evening outings, authorisation for medical treatment and/or operation if needed and the insurance papers proving
an insurance cover arranged by the parents for the stay (see insurance).
Administration costs for the arrangement and reservation of your accommodation
These costs are of 80 euro and must be paid with the enrolment. Should you cancel your stage these costs are non refundable. You must pay
80 euro administrative costs should you desire to change your accommodation during your stay. Should you arrange your accommodation
independently from ACCORD and on arrival in France or during your stay you desire to benefit from the ACCORD reservation service to change
your accommodation, you will have to pay 100 euro administrative fees.
Visa
Should you come from outside the European Community and desire to stay in France for more than 3 months, you may need a visa “long séjour”
(or “visa d’études longues durées”). In this case you will be required to supply the pre-enrolment certificate which we will send you on reception
of the enrolment form and payment of the deposit.
Cancellation
Should your visa be refused, and on presentation of the original document from the French Embassy proving this, ACCORD will refund you in
full less 200 euro administrative fees and 50 euro (10 euro for EU citizens) for bank transfer costs. Refunds are done only by bank transfer. No refund
if you don’t provide an original document by the French Embassy. Copies and photocopies are refused and not considered as original documents.
Should you be unable to attend for medical or professional reasons (a medical or professional certificate must be sent to us by express mail) your
stay will be postponed within a period of 12 months after the reception of the certificate. Refund possible under mentioned sales conditions.
For all other cases:
Should you cancel your stay more than one month in advance, ACCORD will refund you 70% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees
and 50 euro (10 euro for EU citizens) for bank charges. Refunds are done only by bank transfer.
Should you cancel three or four weeks before your starting date (Monday for the course, Sunday if you asked for an accommodation), ACCORD
will refund you 60% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees and 50 euro (10 euro for EU citizens) for bank charges. Refunds are done
only by bank transfer.
Should you cancel one or two weeks before your starting date (Monday for the course, Sunday if you asked for accommodation), ACCORD
will refund you 40% of the fees paid, less 250 euro administrative fees and 50 euro (10 euro for EU citizens) for bank charges. Refunds are done
only by bank transfer.
No refund after the first date of your stay (Monday for a registration for a course only - Sunday for a registration including an accommodation
booked by ACCORD).
Should the School be obliged to cancel your course you will be refunded in full. No bank or administrative fees will be charged.
Late course arrival
Students arriving to the course more than 15 minutes past the time of course begin must wait for the break to enter the classroom.
Absence and course interruption
Registering for a course means that you are committing yourself to attend it regularly. You cannot claim any refund if you miss classes or if you
decide to drop your course (this excludes absence for proven cause on presentation of medical certificate). You cannot claim any refund if you
decide to stop your course and/or your stay in France.
Behaviour
Should a student show an abnormal behaviour or bad intentions ACCORD reserves the right to exclude him from the school at any time.
Claims
Claims must be addressed to the Direction of the school that will decide refund and recuperation matters. All claims concerning ACCORD and
FORUM ACCORD services must be made by registered letter to FORUM ACCORD, on the week
following the end of the course. Legal claims will be treated by the “Tribunaux de Paris”.
Insurance
ACCORD declines all responsibility for thefts, damages or losses. Both parties agree that ACCORD will not be disturbed for those matters.
Before arriving in France you must verify personal insurance. All students younger than 18 years of age must join a copy of their insurance policy
to their enrolment form. To those in need of getting insured ACCORD recommends an insurance company specialising on language courses
abroad :

Please contact them explaining that you are following a course at ACCORD Paris.
Use of photographic material
ACCORD may take photographs of students in order to illustrate its brochures. Should they disagree, he/she or his/her parents must precise this
refuse in writing on the registration form.
Language courses are not held and nor refunded on national and local French holidays:
April 9th, May 1st, May 8th, May 17th, August 15th, November 1st 2007.
The school will be closed from Saturday December 22rd 2007 to Sunday January 6th 2008 included. School opens Monday 7th January 2008.
Prices
Shown prices and sales conditions are applied from 1st January to 31st December 2007.
